Trivia

There is no script to each episode, just a heavily detailed plot outline, which the actors and actresses all improvise. On average, each scene will require between seven or eight takes, which is very high for a television series on a tight schedule. See more »

Goofs

In the season 4's "The Weatherman," Marty Funkhauser says that his mother died ten years ago. However, as of the beginning of the season 6's "The Ida Funkhauser Roadside Memorial," Marty's mother had just recently been killed while driving her wheelchair. See more »

Quotes

[Larry notices a picture on his rabbi's desk]
Larry: Is that you?
Rabbi: That's... that's Eddie Solomon. My brother-in-law. He, ummm... he died on September 11th.
Larry: Oh my gosh. Oh, I'm so sorry.
Rabbi: Yeah. Terrible.
Larry: He was in the building?
Rabbi: No, no. He, he was... uptown on 57th Street. He got hit by a bike messenger.
Larry: Uptown?
Rabbi: Yeah, yeah. Bike messenger. Hit 'em.
Larry: [Long pause] What a shame.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
2 April 2006 | by rutland274See all my reviews

I am writing this because I think that this is the most hilarious and entertaining show on television. Unfortunately, my children do not share my opinion and I had to search awhile to find someone with the same enthusiasm for Larry David's humor. I always find, at least one thing in each of his episodes to send me laughing for all of the good reasons, loud and long! This humor is so therapeutic for me and makes my day. I so 'get' this type of humor and it is wonderful.

I particularly enjoyed the episode, when Larry invited the child molester to his home for a dinner for a religious holiday. This was a mix of his neighbors, who were aware of this young man's problem. Larry David is a master of underplaying and was superb!
