Long ago, the Orcish Horde fell to the Alliance of Lorderon after a series of climactic battles. With most of the Horde locked away in internment camps, peace has at last prevailed. In the hut of the Orcish leader Thrall, a mysterious prophet tells Thrall that the only hope for his people lies on the island of Kalimdor. Both the Prophet and Thrall know why: the Demons are returning.
