Though this special may seem easily found online, it is actually quite the opposite. The original television airing had numerous scenes and songs that have been removed from US video release due to the rights of characters and franchises being dispersed amongs different companies. The Muppets no longer share affiliation with Sesame Street and The Fraggles lay dormant, therefore this special cannot air on television without obtaining licenses and the home video releases have to be heavily altered to avoid any legal disputes. In other countries the original uncut version can be found but still incredibly rare and has sold for upwards of a hundred dollars through online auctions. See more »
In most wide shots during the caroling medley, Janice can be seen sitting near a stairway at the end of the room, but there are a few shots where she is next to Floyd Pepper, who is always behind the couch during the carols. See more »

I remember seeing this special when I was younger and I recently acquired the video. I've watched it a few times already. It's so cute and involves all the muppet characters (including fraggles and Sesame Street characters). My favourite parts are when the turkey tries to 'woo' Camilla and when the Swedish Chef tries to cook Big Bird. It's very amusing. And of course, Miss Piggy must make a grand entrance! I highly recommend this movie if you are in a giddy or childish mood. Every child I know enjoys this video.
