Vijay arrests Sanjay to protect him from a hitman but when he is released, Sanjay finds out his brother and wife are murdered. He decides to avenge their death and find out why he was arrested.

Young Vijay studies in Good Shepherd High School, lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small scenic town along with his uncle, who is the Inspector General of Police in Bombay, and has a close friend in Raj Malhotra. When both mature, Vijay gets married, while Raj marries Shanti. On his uncle's insistence, Vijay departs to live in Bombay, where he eventually becomes the Police Commissioner. Subsequently Raj, Shanti, and Raj's brother, Sanjay, also re-locate to Bombay, where they are united with Vijay. Then Sanjay falls in love with Jenny and both want to get married much to the chagrin of Mahesh, who wants to marry her at any and all costs. Mahesh is the only son of wealthy and influential Kedar, who manages to convince Edward that it will be Jenny's and Sanjay's best interest if Jenny weds Mahesh. The marriage is arranged, but on that very day, Sanjay steps in, humiliates Kedar, and marries Jenny. That night Sanjay is arrested by none other than Vijay himself and placed in a cell. The next morning he is released and returns home to find that his brother and Bhabhi are both dead. Vijay Kapoor and Raj Malhotra are childhood inseparable friends who get separated when Vijay's wealthy and police commissioner uncle wants him to relocate to Bombay in order to progress in his career. Years later Vijay is the police commissioner who get marry to a young woman while Raj is also in Bombay and is settled with his wife Shanti and a younger brother, Sanjay; both the friends catch up and renew their bonds. Meanwhile Sanjay meets with Jenny and both fall in love with each other unknown to the couple that Mahesh the son of wealthy and influential businessman, Kedarnath is also fascinated by Jenny and decides he wants to get marry only to her forcing Sanjay and Mahesh to have a confrontation which turns violent forcing Kedar to approach Jenny's father, Edward with a proposal of marriage for his son but Edward refuses and is threatened by Kedar thus the marriage is conducted. During the process of the marriage Sanjay abducts Jenny and himself make her his wife prompting Kedar to hire a contract killer to do away with Sanjay and his beloved. Not knowing that Vijay decides to arrest Sanjay logging him in a cell in order to save his life; but this does not alter Kedar from carrying out his nefarious activities by targeting Raj and his wife.
