Not the best Semon film you'll ever see...unless, of course, you just see this one!
While "The Counter Jumper" has some nice story elements, it's far from one of Larry Semon's best films. Much of it is because there is far less in the way of plot and so much of it just consists of Larry bonking people with various objects. There also is a bizarro plot involving a half-hatched egg. Like so many of his comedies, his foil is played by Oliver Hardy in his pre-Stan Laurel days Overall, plenty of action...just not a lot of reason for most of it.
