Not Enough for a Nickel

Tourists Going Round Yellowstone Park (1899)

Edison made a voyage out to Yellowstone Park in 1899 and made several films that they of course sold to the public. While I'm sure many people were happy to pay a nickel to see Yellowstone for the first time, there's no doubt that the majority of these films were rather lazy even for 1899 standards. This one here clocks in at just 20 seconds and shows three horse-driven wagons. That's pretty much it. Yes we see three wagons traveling a few feet and for a total of 20 seconds. No one should come to these types of movies and expect any sort of plot but I can only imagine people paying a nickel and being upset that this is all they got to see.
