20 Crazy Details Behind The Making Of The First Harry Potter Movie

It also helped that the movie was legitimately great.

That being said, this film wasn't an easy project to pull off. Much of its foundation came

1 Tiny Detail From Harry Potter Proves That Ron Always Thought of Harry as a Brother

Any Harry Potter fan can tell you that over the course of the magical series, Harry becomes a true member of the Weasley family. A group that starts off as his best friend Ron's parents and siblings quickly becomes Harry's own, which is deeply significant considering that the orphaned only child has no true family to speak of. (The Dursleys treat him like trash, not a family member!)

We watch Harry spend holidays with Ron's family, we feel the pain in the books as Molly Weasley sees "Harry" lying dead alongside her biological kids when she faces a boggart at 12 Grimmauld Place, and we even learn that Harry legally joins the family when he eventually marries into it. But one tiny movie detail in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone reveals that Harry is part of the Weasley family from the very start - did you catch it?

The Hough siblings have spoken several times about their experiences on the Harry Potter set, where they spent two months filming for the magical movie. "We would always get in trouble," Derek recalled to People. "I was in Ravenclaw - I stole the robe, the tie, the scarf, and I stole cutlery from the Great Hall!

‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequel Will Avoid Dumbledore’s Gay Sexuality, Director David Yates Confirms
Any “Fantastic Beasts” fans hoping the “Harry Potter” universe would finally be ready to explore Dumbledore’s sexuality in the upcoming “The Crimes of Grindelwald” will surely be disappointed, as director David Yates has confirmed that J.K. Rowling’s screenplay mostly avoids the topic. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Yates said the movie does not explicitly include any reference to Dumbledore being gay, despite the fact that Rowling has spoken in the past about the wizard’s sexuality and his romance with the titular Grindelwald.

“Not explicitly,” Yates said when asked if the film makes it clear that Dumbledore is gay. “But I think all the fans are aware of that. He had a very intense relationship with Grindelwald when they were young men. They fell in love with each other’s ideas, and ideology and each other.
