  • A young girl coming of age (Lily) falls for a young drifter coming of age (Jake). Her father is against the two of them together. She runs off with the drifter. Later, when she learns of his deception, she goes back home to be rejected by her father. She moves in with her mother's brother. After some time, Jake comes back to Mary her. But sorrow falls all around.
