In this pilot for a proposed TV series, a group of "friends" live in a sometimes peaceful co-existence. Tom is a handsome deliveryman living with his gorgeous girlfriend Shannon, his stepsister Maria, and their lazy friend Jackson. Tom is on the rocks with Shannon again over their flirtations with other people. When Tom meets Kelly Bundy while delivering a package to the Bundy house, he asks her out for the evening. To make Tom jealous, Shannon asks out a handsome millionaire named Henry and the four of them end up at the local greasy-spoon diner in the inner city, which is run by friendly cook George. The evening gets more X-rated when Tom and Shannon try to outdo each other with their dates. Written by Anonymous

The Pits
3 July 2011 | by frankfobSee all my reviews

This has to be one of the absolute worst episodes of one of my favorite shows of all time. It was a pilot that the "MWC" producers were hoping to spin off into its own series. Thankfully, it failed. And with good reason. Calling this mess "terrible" is a compliment. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It's not even remotely funny, the cast (with the exception of the "MWC" regulars) shows no comic ability at all--Nicole Eggert is especially irritating and embarrassing, overacting outrageously and trying to upstage the rest of the cast, not a particularly difficult task since most of them are even more inept than she is--the writing and direction are on a junior-high-school class play level, and the entire episode starts at the bottom and works its way down.

MWC tried to spin off two episodes into their own shows: the other one was a mess that was almost as bad as this one, about a student radio station at Tremain College, the school that Bud attended; its only saving grace was that it featured Keri Russell, who almost made sitting through it worthwhile. For the sake of everyone involved--especially the viewers--both of these efforts flopped. This is without question the worst of the two. It's a real stinker. Avoid it at all costs.
