Plot Summary

Three compelling stories depict the struggle of brave Cypriot patriots to end British rule in Cyprus. In the first story, a wounded freedom fighter ends up in Paphos. However, instead of recuperating, the British arrest him. Forced to reveal vital information, the imprisoned patriot suffers cruel torture at the hands of his captors. Following, an injured nationalist seeks refuge in a monastery. There, a young nun undertakes the risky task of contacting a fellow guerrilla to organise a sabotage mission. But the unprecedented thrill of first love threatens to jeopardise the dangerous assignment. Finally, a Cypriot woman falls in love with an English officer. As accusations of treason blemish her reputation, she faces incarceration and a bleak future. Written by Nick Riganas
