A blonde, thinking the car is a Taxi, gets in and orders Leon to take her home. The police chase the speeding Leon, and he eludes them but they get the license number and arrest Harry. Leon tells the Judge that Harry was on his way to get married, and the judge offers to perform the ceremony. Leon is forced to masquerade as the bride, which lasts only until Harry's wife shows up. It's Big of the Two of Us
22 November 2017 | by bobliptonSee all my reviews

For once it's not Leon Erroll's fault, but that of Claire Carleton. However, Leon has to dress in drag and pretend to get married to Harry Harvey. When Harvey's wife returns to turn, matters get even more out of hand than usual.

Erroll was an Australian comic actor who had a long career i the US on stage and in film, capping it off with a series of shorts for RKO that ended in 1951. In them he played a member of the amorphous middle class, a businessman or, implied here, a lawyer. The gag construction was typically strong and of the slapstick variety.

Miss Carleton was a bit of a surprise. A veteran of more than a hundred movies and 70 TV episodes, her career began in 1931 and petered out with a role in the pilot for TNE MUNSTERS, Here, she is a shapely peroxide blonde who knows her comedy timing and how to scream.
