The Vanishing Line

I saw this film years ago on PBS television. It had a very profound effect on me and has stayed with me all these years since 1998. In this documentary a young female doctor reckons with the way she is taught by the medical establishment to handle issues of life and death and balance that with dealing with actual people going through these life milestones directly or indirectly and all the human emotion that goes with it. We see her both work with life and death situations as an emergency room doctor and as a doctor at a hospice facility. She intertwines the ancient story of the three fates of life. A very moving and thought provoking film.
