The original design of the creature, by Spanish effects artist Poli Cantero, was a snake-like creature with a muscular neck and a cobra-esque hood. that is how BAD and BORING it was, but as a fan of Yuzna´s other work i sat through the whole movie hoping for something good to happen but sadly it didn´t get any better... it only got WORSE!
i saw it at a film festival and they were showing Camera Obscura at the same time at another cinema and i choose this one instead as i thought Faust couldn´t be bad as it´s directed by one of my fave horror directors, i still blame myself for choosing this one instead of Camera...
acting was absolutly pathetic and as a fan of b-movies usually acting doesn´t disturb me all that much, dialogue was beyond bad etc etc...
now i hear that he´s working on the third part of the Re-Animator series, which i am a great fan of... so let´s all hope he doesn´t screw that one up and ruin the other two parts!!!
the next day they showed Return of the living dead part III which is brilliantly directed by Yuzna, so i went to see it on the big screen and said to myself maybe his time is over... ok once again let´s hope not!!
