This started well with all sorts of action promised and plenty of posing and posturing with motorbikes. Rock music and bikes, but no Kenneth Anger style homoeroticism here, this looks set for full on hetro treats with topless girl bikers and even nude posing across the big machines. Yet somehow novice director, Takayuki Miyagawa, lets it all slip away. I don't ever recall seeing so much reflective non action in such a supposedly 'wild' film. There is a fair bit of soft core action inter-cut with biking and confrontations between gangs and police but gradually this becomes a drawn out duel between bad boy biker and bad boy cop. There is, of course, the wonderful, Miki Sugimoto, she of Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs but even she can't save this once it starts its slow wind down to what should have been a big finale. In the end, the cops are waiting and the two bad boys take to the road. Crash bang wallop finish? Not at all, what we get is the longest ever road chase, bikes or cars, I have ever seen. Doesn't look like Kyoto either.
