This is a winter tale, telling about Finns suffering from influenza. It starts from Rinteelän Aleksi and ends up in Idi Amin's nose.Lentsu (1990) is a three-part miniseries written by Solja Kievari and directed by Pauli Virtanen. It's based on Veikko Huovinen's novel from 1978.I read it before I borrowed this as a DVD from the library. You have to like the actors playing their roles, starting with Antti Litja, who plays Rinteelän Aleksi.Kirsti Kemppainen is Lääkäri.Esko Nikkari plays the part of Toivo Kesseli.Katriina Rinne is his wife.Kari Sorvali portrays Pankinjohtaja Joona Hukkanen. His real-life wife Miitta Sorvali plays Mielikki Hukkanen.Aapo Vilhunen is Pankkitarkastaja Mertsi Myyryläinen.Martti Tschokkinen is Kauppias Kake Kurkkumaa.Eeva Eloranta plays his wife.Olavi Ahonen plays Opettaja Touko Savukoski.Martti Kainulainen plays Sotaveteraani Ville Tapiola.Esko Pesonen plays Aake Siljander.Carl-Kristian Rundman is 1. Konstaapeli.Matti Pellonpää is Kirvesmies Mikko Jaurujärvi.Harri Hyttinen is Maisteri Jarno Puoshaka.Sakari Jurkka of the famous Jurkka family plays Ministeri Urkuhart.Heikki Kinnunen works as the narrator and is also the author, who looks a lot like Veikko Huovinen. It's quite funny to watch Toivo Kesseli go crazy and escaping the cops with his truck. With a few other funny moments in this comic tale about influenza.
