If most directors did a cartoon like this, it would probably be the oddest thing they ever did. But for Richard Condie, this is a comparatively normal short ("comparatively" being the operative word-Condie does nothing "normal") whereas everything else I've ever seen is stranger than this within sixty seconds. Condie is an acquired taste and I've acquired it myself, which probably means a great deal, but I'm getting better, honest. Condie is a national treasure (or should be) in Canada, the Mad Genius. A wonderful short, well worth tracking down. Most recommended.
