This movie will be a treat for the not so loving bunch of the slow- paced films mainly because the director that worked in this movie learned a lot of the modern cinema techniques used in American cinema at the time (lots of Frames in order to speed up the action) when he was in the US.

The main narrative theme that develops this movies is the socioeconomic differences of the time (although still presents today in a minor measure) that conflicts with the love of couples that is so abundant in the melodrama, however this films not only limits itself to the melodrama of the couples we too have the opportunity as spectators to watch the festivities and carnivals of the city linked to the wittiness of the scholar life, with its idiosyncrasies and appropriations as it is so common in our Latin region. Definitely a great watch for the cinema enthusiast.
