    Probably the best french sitcom

This sitcom was originally broadcast in 1996, and it remains the best french sitcom ever (this is not a great compliment, but it could be considered as a victory). Not surfing on a concept made for popularity only (like "H", using the fame, and the talent (?) of their actors without having a real plot), not pretending to be a reference, it succeeded by introducing some news (for french programs), like multiple places of action, stories concerning several people without a necessary link making them met every minute... It could be considered as the first french sitcom of the second generation, not strictly based on funny but useless replicas and episodes with absolutely no continuity. Unfortunately, the new french sitcoms are closer to those from the first generation, and the increase of this second generation is only a hope for the future. Congratulations for the effort, sorry it didn't change the whole french production. French producers ! Now you have the model, please use it and create a real funny but intelligent french sitcom !

    opinion on a French sitcom

It is a stupid sitcom I have ever seen. The bitchy role of Emma Colberti really does a lot of harm, to Thomas who seems to be a weak minded nitwit who yields to all the whims of the vulgar character "Valentine" too stupid to see that she keeps manipulating him. I don't think it helped his career ! As for Valentine she is not so irresistible, even if she believes she is. Recently interviewed at Cannes she behaved in a spoiled child manner which was very unpleasant Is she only worth playing in porno films ? There is so much mediocrity in this series that my friends can't stand the music , they switch channel ! I think French producers should stop being a pale imitation of American sitcoms which are so much better !

By far the best french sitcom

This was a novelty at the time of its broadcasting: a truly enjoyable sitcom, alone in an ocean of bad or very bad production created by AB Group.

Simple plots, good actors, perfect for enjoyable show while deepening the relationship between the two lead actors throughout the whole series. The supporting cast is also funny and well managed.

I also have to say that Emma Colberti will make your heart break each time you will see her be sad (at least it was my case) and lighten each time she smiles (my case too). She is just too incredibly beautiful and full of charm and it make an already good series even better.
