Storyline

VH1's popular music variant of the classic game show with a twist. As always, contestants were given the answers, but it was up to the contestants to supply the questions. Three contestants competed; six categories, all music-related in some way, were announced, each containing five answers each (ranging from $100 to $500, depending on difficulty). The contestant selected to go first chose a category and dollar value (e.g., "Going to Work" for $100), to which host Probst read the answer to ("This Dolly Parton No. 1 hit was the title song of her movie, which she co-starred in with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin"). The contestant who gave the correct question ("What is '9 to 5?'") won the dollar value of the answer and got to select the next answer; any incorrect answer caused him to lose that amount from his score and allowed the other contestants a chance to answer; players with enough incorrect questions often had negative scores. Dave Mustaine FTW!
20 January 2010 | by The_Light_TritonSee all my reviews

Rock & Roll jeopardy is a version of celebrity jeopardy, only starring figures in the music industry. it lasted for a few seasons, but then the show's novelty wore off, but at least it was fun to watch, because most of the viewers knew all the answers, mainly because they were familiar with the categories.

Now, you might ask, Light Triton, why did you use the words "Dave Mustaine FTW?" Well, that's easy. Megadeth is by far my favourite band of all time, and it was awesome to see the founding father of Megadeth beat George Clinton and Moon Beam (who the Hell is moon beam?) in my favourite gameshow.

Hosted by Jeff Probst, Rock & roll Jeopardy is sure not to disappoint if you catch an episode anytime soon. If you want to pick the musical Side of your brain, or if you just want to watch your favourite rock star kick a pop star's candy ass, then you're in for a real treat.
