This movie is gray, bleak and austere. The plot is quite confusing and leaves you wondering why the main character remains stuck in Rotterdam, helping out an exiled hooker, while his teenage son waits anxiously for him back in Russia. There is no suspense nor resolution to the intrigue, if one there is! It is simply a walk in the coldness of urban desolation.
