      • Trivia
The director, Patrick Mimouni, chained himself to the gates of the French Embassy in Lisbon to protest against the arbitrary decision of his producer Paulo Branco who did not respect his commitments and wanted to cancel the filming of this film, provoking a scandal in the middle French cinema. Bernard-Henry Levy (husband of Arielle Dombale) even had to intervene personally to help in the completion of this film which didn't benefit from any distribution in theaters. Its producer - distributor (Paulo Branco) doesn't want to involve any more in "Villa Mauresque".
