Richard "Fagin" Hepplewhite (Robert Blythe) is an agoraphobic ex-criminal who runs a business from his home in the Welsh valleys, after serving at Strangeways prison. Several actors who played roles in the 1999 pilot 'High Hopes Saving Private Ryan' were replaced in the series. Also, the pilot was broadcast all over the UK, but the series was only broadcast in Wales. Keiron Self replaced Giles Thomas as PC Claude Cox, and Charlie was previously played by David Rees Talbot, but in the series, he was played by Ben Evans. Charlie and Hoffman were previously acquaintanced with Fagin in the pilot, but only gradually so in the series. See more
