A group of truly exceptional soldiers put their services on the open market in this made-for-TV action-adventure drama. Major Matt Sheperd (Brad Johnson) was once one of the smartest, best trained, and most decorated individuals in the American military, but when he became ready for a new challenge, he decided to move into the private sector. Shepard founded Solider of Fortune, Inc., an organization which brings together a team of top-flight military intelligence agents, who, for the right cause and the right price, can stage rescues, military interventions, or other strategic actions without allowing the matter to make the newspapers or escalate into an international incident. A pilot feature for a short-lived television series, Soldier of Fortune, Inc. also features Tim Abell, Real Andrews, Mindy Clarke, and Sebastian Apodaca.

Soldier of Fortune -
16 May 2009 | by feltonpsSee all my reviews

I was very confused by the variety of the actual shootouts - trying to figure out which one was real was difficult. It took awhile to figure out what was going on. At least the group returned to extract revenge - that was satisfying. Actually there wasn't much to the movie.

I did not feel the nude pool scene added anything - and I was disappointed that an actor like Brad Johnson who is a family man would agree to do this scene. I am not a prude - but I tried to picture Tom Hanks, John Wayne and other actors in the scene and couldn't. The pool scene appeared to be shot in a hospital physical therapy pool - gee, do they frolic around like that in a hospital pool devoted to therapy. Guess I've gone to a different kind of hospital.
