Silly, but entertaining title from the 80's
12 March 2019 | by tdrishSee all my reviews

Hammerhead Jones is a slice of 80's cheese. It's not a bad thing. I'll watch this again before I watch 1989's No Holds Barred! Ted Vernon stars in this film about a wrestler who is settling picture perfect at the top of everything. Somebody wants to take him down. He's challenged to a death match. His challenger? A massive hunk of power weighing in at 4,000 pounds, who only goes by the name of Prince Of Darkness. Prince Of Darkness is not new in town. He's already put at least one person in the hospital. ( Does a toe tag spoil the story?) Is someone out to prove their the best, or is someone just out to destroy the champ once and for all? Hammerhead Jones is a very silly, obscure title from the late 80's, but it is very colorful, and loads of fun to watch. It's not boring at all, and its short running time does not overstay its welcome. The main event is the meat and potatoes here, and its not going to be a walk in the park for either contender. Will one of them walk out of the ring alive? Don't be shocked, a little blood will spill here. Hey, what did you expect?
