Hollywood may not care, but first time film director Scott Ross has made a throwback to the American New Wave Cinema of the 70's in the style of early Scorsese, Altman, Coppola, and Friedkin. The Grue Crew has the look, sound, and feel of a movie made for much more money than its shoestring budget would suggest. This movie is what Sundance was once all about.
