This documentary is one of the strangest films I have ever seen. Apparently, about 20-30 people worldwide believe that if they cut a hole in their foreheads that it will make them smarter, happier and more energetic. They all follow a guy who lives in Amsterdam who says some of the weirdest stuff I ever heard. Some of these people even used powerdrills on their own heads! I cant believe this film, I love it so much.
I was unemployed and up very late and saw this documentary. I couldn't help watching -- it was mesmerizing, like watching a truck back into a car. I couldn't stop watching, and you won't either.
Keep in mind, this is about RECREATIONAL trepanning, RECREATIONAL drilling of a living skull by first-time AMATEURS. How bored and stoned must you be for this activity to come to fruition?
Anyway, I had trouble sleeping for several nights (imagine!) and this documentary was on again and again, on several channels. And every time it came on, I couldn't help but watch the entire documentary.
I got a job soon after. A bad job, as it turned out, but I was very motivated....

Brought this video shortly after it was released.
People make the mistake of imagining this is a documentary. It's NOT. It's a "how-to" for those who want to perform either self trepanation or assist in trepanning another.
As for powerdrills and nightmares; It isn't 20-30 people worldwide following one man and they use hand drills too(in fact they are safer). Lose sleep if you will.
for some strange reason, there doesn't seem to be a CD folllow up or MP3 file.
where would i be best placed to sell this single copy i have if pos? My copy is VHS but in A1 condition.

- TriviaIn March 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent their honeymoon at a posh hotel in Amsterdam, where they staged their infamous "Bed-in for Peace." Among the reporters and well-wishers that Lennon invited was a 34-year-old Dutchman named Bart Huges. He was summoned there because the Beatle had a strange request: "I want a third eye."
