Plot Summary

Martin Urban seems to be a very lucky man indeed. He had just been made a partner in his accounting firm and most of all, he's won £1.8 million in the national lottery. He decides to share his luck by giving some of his winnings to those in need such as the lady in the corner shop whose son requires an urgent operation. He also meets Francesca, a very pretty shop girl who delivers him flowers one day. Over time, he falls for her even after he learns that she is married and has a 3 year-old daughter. Her husband is a brute from all accounts and he purchases her a flat when she tells him she will be moving out. His attempt at giving away some of his money has run into a number of snags. What he does not see coming is the intersection of his attempt to give money to his mother's needy friend and Francesca's lack of truthfulness, which leads to death. Written by garykmcd
