Shortlived Live Chat Show from BBC Scotland hosted by Bernard Falk.
In 1982 BBC 1 decided to experiment with a season of Live Late Night Light Entertainment shows hosted from each of its National Regions, including Pebble Mill,Northern Ireland and BBC Wales in blocks of six or seven. Each region developed its own concept, and Sin On Saturday was BBC Scotland's contribution.
Hosted by Bernard Falk, with pre- recorded musical inserts written and performed by David McNiven, and selected guests around the theme of one of the Seven Deadly Sins for each episode. The entire series was famously pulled after only three transmissions, the last being the first time Oliver Reed (representing Gluttony, if I remember correctly) demonstrated his now infamous capacity for getting thoroughly inebriated in the Green Room before going on air, where he hijacked Bernard Falk's rather serious interview with a former nun.
