Storyline

This series based on a simple premise, the universe is essentially only how you yourself perceive it. If you change what you know about the universe, then to you, you have essentially changed the universe itself. In this series, James Burke explores nine key moments in the history of the Western world when the introduction of new knowledge and/or technology has led to profound changes in how the West thinks. These include things like the introduction of Guttenberg's printing press, Copernicus's sun centered universe model and Darwin's publishing of his theory of evolution. "Release the 'TDTUC 10' !!"
17 June 2007 | by nealkasSee all my reviews

I cannot for the world understand why the BBC has not released this in a version that does not cost $750.00 USD. They know just how rampantly popular almost anything they ship across the pond is devoured.

Incredibly thought provoking. Watching the original connections and TDTUC back to back will give you enough food for thought to pull a life sentence in solitary confinement.

I could almost call this a crime against society that TDTUC is not available at an affordable price.

Especially Amazing now that these series are, ahem...., a few years old to see just how prophetic they were.
