Storyline

Cutey is forbidden by the father of his beloved, Dot, to ever speak to her again. A brilliant idea comes to Cutey while reading in the paper of a family quarantined because of small pox. He tells the cook that she is to be suddenly afflicted with a serious illness while bringing the dinner that night; that Dot is to run for him, who will be disguised as a doctor, and that when he comes he will pronounce the case as small pox, and, in accordance with medical laws, will inform the authorities, which will consist of two of his friends dressed as policemen, who will order the house quarantined. His scheme is carried out to the letter and was progressing splendidly until Dot's papa and mamma, sitting by the drawing room window, overhear the two "policemen" talking about the scheme. Papa rushes up to the room where he finds the "sick" cook drinking and Cutey and Dot "mushing." He throws Cutey out of the window and he lands on the heads of his friends. Dot starts in to cry, for she knows it ... Written by Moving Picture World synopsis

A light offering, to make fun
24 September 2017 | by deickemeyerSee all my reviews

Wally Van and Lillian Walker lead in this romantic farce, by Russel E. Smith. John Bunny and Flora Finch also have roles as the girl's parents, who dislike Wally as prospective son-in-law. The cook, Kate Price, is coerced into playing sick and Wally, dressed as a doctor, says it's smallpox. Two fake cops help out, but talk too much. It is a light offering, to make fun. - The Moving Picture World, July 19, 1913
