The story of Robert Hughes-Lambert, who was captured by Nazis when his active homosexuality was discovered during the filming of Mermoz (1943).
The feature film tell us the grim story of the French actor Robert Hughes-Lambert during the Second World War in Paris. It is sad to contemplate how he was selected by the Nazi followers for the roll of pilot hero Jean Mermoz (1901-36) taking into consideration only his pseudo-Aryan physical characteristics. The deformation of Mermoz life by the official censorship and the inhuman treatment that Lambert received for all the people around him, made me sick. I CONCLUDED THAT THE WORST OF THE HUMAN BEINGS APPEAR DURING HARD TIMES.
