Ahhh, screw it again! Inspired by Clint Eastwood...

"Muchachitas" was my favorite telenovela as a kid. I enjoyed it because of it's naive but "cool" circumstances that were talked everyday in school. I meant "cool" for very young people's standards. Who didn't like the opening theme song? It was catchy. The cast was really good and it was a good decision to include the always sexy doll-face Cecilia Tijerina who delivered a fine, sexy performance and the fact that she was really hot helped. Tiaré Scanda and Kate del Castillo supported perfectly good with their good acting and looks. Emma Laura just looked hot and I thank her for it.

Alejandro Camacho is a legendary villain who copied one of Clint Eastwood's movies by the fact of using explosive control remote cars as his weapons for revenge.

The ending was just exciting as I remember that all the girls tried to hid the real "killer" and leave it to luck. Also, Camacho's demise was thrilling and memorable.

The plot may be kitsch but it was very entertaining and tried to be intriguing.

Long live Muchachitas!! I will always remember it.

Classic Univision Viewing

'Muchachitas' is one of the few telenovelas that I watched with any regularity. I was a student of spanish and excused the viewing as practice but it was more out of guilty pleasure. The leads (with the exception of Emma Laura) have gone on to appear in many television shows and movies which proves that the cast was pretty good. Cool stuff when you're practicing spanish vocabulary comprehension.

One of Mexico's finest telenovelas

Warning: Spoilers
Muchachitas has a special place in my heart; it's the only telenovela I've ever watched religiously. It's no different from every other Mexican soap; it tells of the poor becoming rich, revenge, love, betrayal and scandal. Muchachitas was about four acting students and their trials and tribulations. Alejandro Camacho was stellar as the malevolent Federico, who marries Leticia in a false ceremony, devirginises her and makes her into a laughing stock. All in all, it you were to watch a telenovela, I would recommend Muchachitas.
