First Trailer for Awkward Comedy 'Born Guilty' with Rosanna Arquette

"What happens when you secretly pay someone to romance your Mom?" Freestyle Media has debuted an official trailer for a cute New York-set indie romantic comedy titled Born Guilty, from writer/director Max Heller. The ensemble comedy is about a mother and her son, both intervening in their lives a bit too much. Acclaimed actress Rosanna Arquette stars as a "lonely and frazzled New York social worker." Her son is played by Jay Devore, and he decides to setup his free-spirited Australian friend Rawl, as played by David Coussins, with his mother - all the while trying to balance his own relationship, too. The cast includes Keesha Sharp, Anna Lore, Jay Klaitz, John Lavelle, and Xander Berkeley. This looks pretty bad, but have a look anyway. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Max Heller's Born Guilty, direct from YouTube: Born Guilty is the story of a lonely and frazzled

Kevin Pollak, Georgina Reilly Join Hockey Biopic ‘Goalie’ (Exclusive)
Kevin Pollak and Georgina Reilly have joined the hockey biopic “Goalie,” opposite Mark O’Brien as the famed goaltender, Terry Sawchuk.

“Goalie” is directed by Adriana Maggs from a screenplay by Maggs and her sister Jane Maggs. The film is based in part on the book of poetry “Night Work by Randall Maggs and “Sawchuk: The Troubles and Triumphs of the World’s Greatest Goalie” by David Dupuis.

Pollak will play Jack Adams, aka “Trader Jack,” the Detroit Red Wings General Manager. Reilly takes on the role of Patricia Morey, who became first Sawchuk’s girlfriend, then wife.

The story follows Swchuck’s charracter being haunted by the void left from his troubled childhood, which he tried to fill with cheering crowds. The story will explore Sawchuk’s youth in Winnipeg to Detroit, Boston, Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York between 1950 and 1970 — during which he recorded 103 shutouts and 400 stitches to his face.

‘Mudbound’ Finally Hits Netflix Next Month, Plus Music and Film Documentaries

‘Mudbound’ Finally Hits Netflix Next Month, Plus Music and Film Documentaries
Fall is upon us, and with it a fresh new crop of Netflix movies to curl up with when the weather starts to turn. Next month’s most exciting addition to the streaming service is “Mudbound,” the Southern World Ward II epic from up-and-comer-turned-force-to-be-reckoned-with Dee Rees. Netflix sealed the biggest deal of this year’s Sundance Film Festival when it paid a whopping $12.5 million for “Mudbound,” setting a high bar for the drama. Balancing out the heavier fare are classic comedies like “Men In Black” and “Scary Movie,” as well as “Field of Dreams” and “42” for the baseball lovers.

The fresh crop also includes a bevy of critically acclaimed documentaries, such as “Eventual Salvation,” “Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary,” and “Cuba and the Cameraman.” Jim Carrey’s creative process gets a deep dive in “Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond,” which includes never-before-seen behind the scenes footage from Milos Forman
