Storyline

Inspector Dev Kumar and Gaurav alias Guru are childhood friends. The problem is that while Dev Kumar is with the police, his dad, Parshu Ram, works with the underworld, and is the right-hand man of Kakhan, a criminal don, who is also Guru's dad. When Inspector Khan is assigned the case of apprehending Kakhan, his first suspect is none other than Dev himself, and Dev must prove to Khan that he is earnest, and will not hesitate to arrest Kakhan. It remains to be seen if Dev will really apprehend his friend's dad, or just play around without really getting anywhere. Written by rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)

Trivia

There were several stories in the industry that Vinod Mehra had a heart attack due to all the production hassles he was having. In particular, Boney Kapoor canceling Gurudev's dates so he could shoot Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja was supposed to have caused Mehra unlimited stress. However Kiran Mehra stated in print this allegation was false. Anil and Boney helped her as much as they could even after Mehra's passing . See more »

typical 80's fun

Though this movie has the one and only Sridevi in a double role, it is no Chaalbaaz, Lamhe or Khuda Gawah. It is a typical story of 2 friends , Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor (the first's son and the latter's daughter are making their debut opposite each other in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya with Salman) and that Sridevi has a double role is probably because both heroes wanted Sri as their leading lady as she was the no 1 at that time and both had hitfilms with her. The movie was filmed in The Netherlands for a part. Part of the movie is like watching Herralal Pannalaal (the one with Randhir and Shashi Kapoor). This was the only movie directed by actor Vinod Mehra (who was a better actor than director)whose daughter is making her debut in the remake of Victoria no 203. Just a fun film worth a watch.
