Martial arts tournament also with love stories

The movie starts with a tournament for all of Japan is announced. We then follow a ronin going around trying to learn new styles, which is often not going very well. There is also room in the movie for love, betrayal, and vile people.

Camera work is great and filled with beautiful pictures and acting and martial arts is also fine. So there is a bit for everyone here, but I am not sure I would recommend this as a date movie. This film is not a masterpiece maybe but very entertaining and for me much above average in quality. If you like old samurai movies then this movie is definately worth seeing. I believe this is one that will stick in my memory and I would love to have it in my collection.
