WWE Raw – Dec 10th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this weeks review on WWE Raw… a show that has made me dread Monday night TV. Although the online buzz about this episode has got me a little more interested in the show than in recent weeks.

Match #1: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable def. Aop & Drake Maverick in a 2-on-3 Handicap to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

After Aop attacked Chad Gable backstage during a match between Bobby Roode and Drake Maverick last week, Baron Corbin turned that singles bout into an impromptu 2-on-3 Handicap Match that allowed Maverick to pick up a humiliating win over The Glorious One. Though Aop looked strong in the height of their Raw Tag Team Championship Match this week, Maverick’s cocky nature sank his team team’s title reign. When he made the mistake of requesting a tag and obnoxiously mocking Roode’s glorious pose,

WWE Raw – Nov 19th 2018: Results & Review

It’s time for this weeks WWE Raw review, right here on Nerdly. This edition picks up the action post-Survivor Series and promises to… Well it promises absolutely nothing. Who knows what the hell goes on in the mind of Vince McMahon these days?

Match #1: Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor & Elias vs. Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Acting Gm Baron Corbin ended in a No Contest Courtesy of WWE.com:

You can’t Get These Hands if Braun Strowman can’t give them, and you can’t lose to him if he can’t fight. Baron Corbin certainly put himself in the position to defeat Strowman and seize the permanent General Manager job by default when he engineered the maiming of The Monster Among Men in a Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match orchestrated by Stephanie McMahon. Corbin’s team played the scenario perfectly, whittling Strowman’s squad down to The Monster

WWE Raw – Nov 12th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… Which is the go-home episode before this weekend’s Survivor Series pay per view; and what a go-home show!

Match #1: Tamina def. Ember Moon The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Ember Moon lost a friend and gained an enemy last week when Nia Jax threw in with Tamina to lay a beating on The War Goddess; this week, she lost again in the more traditional sense in a match against The Irresistible Force’s powerful enforcer. It was something of an upset for the former Nxt Women’s Champion, too: Moon spent the majority of the match running circles around Tamina, but Nia’s interference stopped The Shenom from delivering the Eclipse and allowed Tamina to superkick Ember off the top rope. Tamina went high in response, finishing Moon off with a splash. Pointedly, Raw Women’s Captain Alexa

WWE Raw – Nov 5th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… The first Raw following the controversial (and frankly stupid) Crown Jewel pay per view, taking place just down the road from Nerdly HQ in Manchester, England. And of course the WWE is now building to the next PPV, Survivor Series.

Match #1: Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya vs. The Riott Squad ended in a No Contest The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

If Alexa Bliss wants a Survivor Series team that has the in-ring aspect of competition down pat, the discussion might begin and end with Sasha Banks, Bayley & Natalya. But The Riott Squad came into the WWE Evolution rematch with an advantage that’s even rarer: A vicious shamelessness that cost them a victory, but still left the Squad’s opponents thoroughly demoralized after they destroyed something too precious to be quantified. That object was a good-luck charm Natalya carried

WWE Raw – Oct 29th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… The go-home show for the controversial Crown Jewel pay per view which takes place this Friday.

Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Bobby Lashley via Disqualification The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Last week, Finn Bálor embarrassed Bobby Lashley with a flash pin that came so out of nowhere it bordered on an upset. Clearly, The Rocky Mountain-Made Machine was not going to let that happen again. Lashley wasn’t out for victory in their rematch so much as vindication, even shrugging off a disqualification loss — Lio Rush knocked Finn off the top rope while he was setting up the Coup de Grâce — to ensnare the Irishman in a full nelson while Rush talked trash and slapped Bálor repeatedly across the face.

My Take: If the WWE are looking to make Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush two of the most hated

WWE Raw – Oct 22nd 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… An episode full of surprises and sadness.

Match #1: Finn Balor def. Bobby Lashley The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

If anyone ever doubted that Finn Bálor is The Extraordinary Man Who Does Extraordinary Things, consider his accomplishment on Raw — perhaps the most unlikely achievement he’s ever recorded: He got Lio Rush to stop talking. How did Finn pull it off? The only way one gets Lio Rush to drop the mic these days: He defeated Bobby Lashley. That, of course, was extraordinary in and of itself, given that The Rocky Mountain-Made Machine’s revamped attitude has rendered him near-unstoppable over the last few weeks, and his constant disrespect of Bálor seemed to be reminiscent of the kind of demoralization that befell Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze.

As it turns out, Lashley might have been better off not to brush Bálor aside.

WWE Raw – Oct 15th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw. With the WWE in the middle of a possible politic crisis it will be interesting to see how this episode pans out in terms of promoting the forthcoming Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia…

Match #1: Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre via Count-out to qualify for the WWE World Cup The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Dean Ambrose provided a key assist in helping Seth Rollins advance over Drew McIntyre to a slot in the WWE World Cup — a development that should have put to rest any question of whether The Lunatic Fringe is still all in on The Shield, except the aftermath of Ambrose’s interference left Rollins and Roman Reigns with more questions than answers as to where their brother’s head is at these days. It’s not that Ambrose was conspicuously absent for the pre-match confrontation between Rollins,

WWE Raw – Oct 8th 2018: Results & Review

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw… Post Super Show-Down what can we expect from this show after the events that took place down-under? Will some of the rumoured stroylines from that even t come to fruition this week on TV? Let’s just get right to it!

Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of WWE.com:

Over the last few weeks, the motor-mouthed Lio Rush has been relentless with his trash-talk while hyping up his stoic client, Bobby Lashley. But in Chicago, The 23-Year-Old Piece of Gold was decidedly haughtier while talking up the former Ecw Champion, not to mention overtly demeaning of his opponent, Kevin Owens, in a way he had not been previously. Rush certainly did his job. Not only was Lashley energized by the Cruiserweight’s coaching from the apron, but he was decidedly more aggressive, forcing the former

WWE Raw news: The real reason Baron Corbin shaved his head

When Baron Corbin came up to the main roster from WWE Nxt he had long hair with a receding hairline but when he got his recent push on WWE Raw, he shaved his head. The move made Corbin more “corporate” in look and that fit in perfectly with the “Constable” persona that he took on and the role of general manager. According to the Daily Star, it was Vince McMahon that told Corbin he wanted him to shave his head. Since Corbin shaved his head at the behest of McMahon, he skyrocketed in screen time. According to the reports, McMahon wanted […]

WWE Raw Recap for Sept. 10: WWE’s Big Dog hunts and traps his Monster

WWE Raw was an interesting and compelling spectacle this past Monday. We were given a show that was designed to lead us into WWE’s Hell in a Cell event this Sunday. It is commonly referred to as a “go home” show for the brand. Obviously WWE SmackDown Live will have their own go home show on September 11th. However, unlike SmackDown it seemed Raw had to give us a lot to make us want to see what their brand brought to the show. It’s quite likely that the WWE Universal Title match could main event this Sunday, but they added […]

WWE Raw results for June 25, 2018: Grades, Shield reunion and Bayley goes nuts

This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw was a mixed bag, with mismatched tag team matches, a very hot women’s angle followed by a lame resolution, and a fantastic main event. Here is a look at this week’s WWE Raw results and grades. Kurt Angle cancels WWE Extreme Rules main event In a follow up from last week’s angle where Kurt Angle and Baron Corbin came out to the ring to set up the Raw main event for WWE Extreme Rules — a multi-man match for the number one contender’s spot for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship. ‘Temptation Island’: USA Network Near Deal For Revival Of 2000s Reality Series

  • Deadline
‘Temptation Island’: USA Network Near Deal For Revival Of 2000s Reality Series
Exclusive: USA Network is in advanced negotiations for Temptation Island, a revival of the 2001 Fox reality series, I have learned.

Banijay Group CEO Marco Bassetti announced the upcoming U.S. reboot this morning during a keynote at the Reelscreen West 2018 confab without revealing a network. Reps for USA and Banijay declined comment.

The original Temptation Island, based on an European format, was hosted by Mark L. Walberg and ran on Fox for three seasons. It featured four couples who get separated when they arrive at an exotic island location, with the four guys living in one section with a dozen female models, and the four women residing in another section with a dozen attractive men.

The show courted controversy from the start, with one of the original couples removed from the show when the producers learned that the pair had children together. The first season was a breakout ratings juggernaut

When was WWE Raw’s 25th anniversary? Total Bellas shows John Cena and Nikki Bella’s breakup

Last night on Total Bellas, the show revealed when John Cena and Nikki Bella initially broke up, and it was much earlier than anyone realized. But when was the WWE Raw’s 25th anniversary — which was around the time it happened — and what does this mean for the couple’s current relationship situation? The news broke at the start of May that Nikki Bella ended her engagement to John Cena the week before their wedding date, but it turns out that the wheels started turning as long ago as January. This week’s Total Bellas was filmed in January, right before the WWE Monday Night […]

John Cena and Nikki Bella Reunite for First Time After Split and the Video Will Make You Cringe

Back in April, Nikki Bella and John Cena broke our hearts when they announced they were breaking up and calling off their May 5 wedding. In a new clip for Sunday’s Total Bellas episode, the exes reunite for the first time since their split, and the clip is so cringeworthy. Nikki and John run into each other at a taping of WWE Raw's 25th anniversary in NYC, and it’s clear things still aren’t how they used to be. Watch a sneak peek of the awkward moment in the video above! The couple was actually spotted for the first time Irl since their split two weeks ago, according to TMZ. John reportedly traveled to San Diego to try and win Nikki back, which isn’t too surprising since he professed his love for her earlier that week. “I had my heart broken out of nowhere,” John said in
