Sick, twisted and politically incorrect, the animated series features the adventures of the Griffin family. Endearingly ignorant Peter and his stay-at-home wife Lois reside in Quahog, R.I., and have three kids. Meg, the eldest child, is a social outcast, and teenage Chris is awkward and clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. The youngest, Stewie, is a genius baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. The talking dog, Brian, keeps Stewie in check while sipping martinis and sorting through his own life issues.

Several times throughout the series, characters appear on game shows. But the versions of the game shows are outdated versions that no longer exist. For instance, the Griffins appeared on Family Feud, with its old set style and Richard Dawson hosting. Likewise, Peter appeared on Wheel of Fortune, which used its old "buy prizes after each round" format. See more
I'd sell my soul to be famous.
[cut to hell
We've got a live one. Peter Griffin.
No good, sir. It seems he already sold his soul once in 1977 for Bee Gees tickets and then again in 1983 for half a mallomar.
Every few seasons, the instrumental version of the title theme that plays over the end credits is replaced with a new arrangement. To date there have been 5 main arrangements of the closing credits theme (this, of course, does not include "one-shot" versions that are relative to a specific episode.) See more
Episode 2ACX12, "Road To Rhode Island" had a scene cut from its DVD and syndication versions post 9-11. Originally, Stewie distracts the guards at the security checkpoint so they don't look at the contents (guns, granades) of his bag as it gets X-rayed. After he gets away with it, he quips, "I hope Osama bin Laden doesn't know show tunes." This was followed by bin Laden fooling the guards in a similar manner while singing "God I Hope I Get It" from "A Chorus Line." See more
