More than your typical buddy cop flick. Way more!!
Lights, Camera, ACTION! plenty of it, I wrote my review for Bad Boys over a year ago, I couldnt wait for this movie. I am a big Bruckheimer fan because I like action. Critics who keep bashing the movie forget that Micheal Bay is known for shooting action. So if you don't like to see some amazing action sequences, and you have a weak stomach, then stay away from movies like these. I thought this movie had more action in it than all of the Lethal Weapon movies. This is "the" buddy cop movie. Their should be a part 3 now that this movie clocked in over 40 million in its first weekend.
I already said enough about the action in this film, but Martin and Will are hilarious in this one, even though the plot has nothing to do with several of their skits. It feels like they were 2 different movies here. But nevertheless, the chemistry was good between them, and they had me falling off my seat.
So do not miss this movie because a critic says so. This movie will make way more than it cost to make ($200,000,000) but it will Cha-Ching, much more just like Pearl Harbor was bashed, along with Armageddon which are Hollywood Classics. I admit Bay is not my favorite director to see work with Bruckheimer, his closeup hand-held camera shaking movements always bothered me. Instead I like the Scott bros. Ridley and Tony who should direct Bruckheimer movies from now on.
*** 3 stars out of 4. Go see this film, just get the advil ready afterwards
