Quotes

Announcer: In each of us there burns the soul of a warrior. In every generation, a few are chosen to prove it. Centuries ago, in a time of darkness and fury, that fate befell three strangers: a monk, Kung Lao... an exiled guard, Siro... and a thief, Taja, who have to defend our Earthrealm from the forces of Outworld by fighting for their lives by fighting for their honor and by fighting for their realm in a tournament called... Excellent character development & realism in fight scenes
19 January 1999 | by Tiger-47See all my reviews

This is probably the best of the video game to TV adaptation that I've seen. Threshold did an excellent job in the way that they mixed the gaming element: characters such as Kung Lao, Rayden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, and even the legendary Noob Saibot... with the movie elements, bringing new characters such as Taja, Vorpax, and Siro just to name a few. Perhaps one of the greatest aspects is the true fighting skill the actors, actresses, and in some cases, stunt doubles, display. This isn't the old "Biff" "Pow" type episode. It is very well-done martial arts being displayed, and quite energizing to watch! Congrats on a job well done!
