Storyline

Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville, wherein live the Whos, an almost-mutated sort of Munchkin-like people who all love Christmas. Just outside of their beloved town lives the Grinch (Jim Carrey), a nasty creature that hates Christmas and plans to steal it from the Whos, which he equally abhors. Little Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) decides to befriend the Grinch. Written by Filmfreak <webmaster@filmfreak.co.za>

Trivia

When Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) is discussing how the aunts got the Grinch, Clarnella (Mindy Sterling) says it was during one of their parties. You can see through the window that there is a lot of adult activity going on, and at the end the aunts are putting keys in a glass jar. This is a nod to a key party or swinger party. Obviously an adult only joke that kids would not get. See more »

Fun film
22 May 2019 | by loriwallace-93796See all my reviews

In 2018 Universal released an animated version of the story however it doesn't have the heart or the laughs that this Jim Carey version does.

We all know the classic cartoon version story about "The Grinch" but this film shows us why he is this way.

Lots of heart and there is a message of bullying here that is beneath the surface here. Perfect for family viewing anytime of the year.
