I remember seeing this series when I was a kid: This series was an anime adaptation of the book The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, written by Maria von Trapp (The same book that inspired the classic film "The Sound of Music") Unlike "The Sound of Music", this wasn't a musical (Tough the opening song of the series was a Japanese version of the song "Do-Re-Mi") Despite the fact that many things were changed from the original story, it still was a pretty enjoyable series, filled with lots of heart-warming moments, like most of the animations from World Masterpiece Theater, such as Heidi and The Dog of Flanders.
The animation and the designs were pretty good for the time in this series was made, but the best aspects from this show were the stories and the characters.
"Trapp Family Story" is an excellent anime series, appropriate for the whole family, and if you liked "The Sound of Music" movie, you probably will like this too. And even if you didn't like that film, I still recommend this series.
