Although 'Leslie Nielsen's Stupid Little Golf Video' is a marked improvement over 'Bad Golf Made Easier', it is still by no means a good video. It's boring, never funny, and above all, stupid. If Nielsen doesn't stop taking this low paying, low profile projects, then pretty soon he'll be forgotten entirely. 'Wrongfully Accused' was nothing to write home about, neither was 'Mr Magoo' or any of his more recent projects, actually anything since 'Naked Gun'

Watching one guy for 50 minutes seems boring, but when this guy is Leslie Nielsen, it sure as hell isn't! Me and my friend saw the video for four times in a row, and we still think it's utterly funny. Maybe you have to be the bad-jokes-in-the-bar type o' guy/girl to enjoy the humor, but when you're in the right mood, nothing beats Nielsen explaining how to miss a put, how to irritate other golfers and how to torture animals while playing golf.
I knew i was taking a big risk after reading two bad reviews of this DVD and only one good review, i spent about £12.00 all together on this (i ordered from Australia!) and i'm glad i waited for it because you don't need to be a golf fan to enjoy this short 50 minute film, i'm not a golf fan (never played in my life to be honest!) but i still enjoyed it, there were some genuinely funny scenes (some more funny than others) and the fun all begins with.......no wait, i'm not going to reveal the jokes, you'll have to search for this film and buy it for the jokes, trust me, it's worth it!
I wish the other two of these films (Bad Golf Made Easier & Bad Golf My Way) were released on DVD, but i doubt if they ever will, so i'll just have to buy them on VHS, and hope there as good as this one!

Bad Golf Made Easier and Bad Golf My Way are two funny VHS tapes, but the third in the trilogy (released three years after the second!) proves you can milk a good concept dry.
It's basically a mixture of the two storytelling styles from the first two videos: Some parts are Leslie just giving bad golf tips to the camera (like Made Easier) while others have Leslie driving another golfer crazy (like My Way). Problem is, neither part has as memorable of set pieces as the former two videos. The golfer that Leslie plays with, in particular, is not nearly as memorable of a character as Brad was in My Way.
The other problem is, the video is way too long. At fifty minutes, it wears out its welcome well before it's over. The lounge piano/bass music doesn't help; it's fun at first, but they repeat the same music cues over and over. There were only a handful of jokes I enjoyed, one of them being Leslie and the caddy throwing the other golfer's clubs out the cart instead of stopping and letting him choose himself. I also enjoyed the different "zones" of gimmes and the cross-section of a golf ball's hatred for the player. Otherwise, not much stands out.
One edge I will give this video over the other two: The cinematography is just gorgeous. They shot this at Banff Golf Course up in Alberta, and the towering mountains, wild animals (including many random deer shots), and lush vegetation really give us some scenic eye candy.
Otherwise, a disappointment.

If you see this video somewhere in the bargain bin, do not buy it. I regretted paying 5 for it (approximately $6,75) because I haven't smiled even once during the viewing of this DVD. Seeing Leslie Nielsen trying to make cheap jokes and even cheaper visual effects pass for something actually worth watching makes you think how much Leslie had to pay in order to find a company willing to distribute this.
I've tried watching it sober (turned it off after 10 minutes) and drunk, both times resulting in the same feeling that I've paid way too much for this DVD.
One positive thing has come from this DVD though, it got me first price for a local "worst movie ever" competition, resulting in some free beer.
