When a prestigious Senator boards a train at Union Station, he is expecting an emblematic, smooth ride. However, his trip is ferociously interrupted when a militia group hijacks the train, taking him and several other passengers as hostages and planting a nuclear bomb somewhere on board. This really is a pretty good movie!

A whistle stop campaign turned hijacking, this movie borrows a bit from Konchalovsky's "Runaway Train." It's a lean popcorn action thriller. Not a ton of character development, and the continuity between scenes is a bit uneven, but none-the-less it is a good example of the genre.
