Storyline
After the death of his older brother, Giuseppe "The Guppy" Calzone (Kevin McDonald) becomes head of the Calzone Mob Family. His aging father (Dom DeLuise) knows his son is not cut out for the job, so he sends him to "Mafia University." The head of a rival Mafia Family (Rodney Dangerfield) sees this an opportunity to strike and bring the Calzone Family to its knees. Surrounded by danger, double-crossing and pasta, THE GODSON proves that some wise guys just aren't so smart. Written by Anonymous

The Godson is an alleged satire on the recent spate of gangster type films that started with The Godfather. You'll recognize several recent films as you watch this.
Looking at this film I was so missing the touch of someone like Mel Brooks. I wouldn't be surprised if this was something he might have passed on.
Dom DeLuise doing a nightclub impression of Marlon Brando and Rodney Dangerfield as a gangster who gets no respect are a pair of Mafia Dons and rivals. Things may go bad for these two families as Richard Castellano said in The Godfather these blood feuds are just part of the game and occur in cycles.
But this one may never get off the ground as their kids, wimpy Kevin McDonald from Kids In The Hall as DeLuise's third son and heir and Fabiana Udenio as Dangerfield's daughter do a Romeo and Juliet thing. Will the Montague and Capulet thing be stopped?
When beautiful Fabiana Udenio has to perform some nasty bodily functions to get a laugh, you know you have a stinkeroo on your hands.
