Tó is a black boy from Zona J, a tough neighborhood in Lisbon, and falls in love with a white girl, Carla. Tó dreams to live in Angola, where his parents were born, however the reality the two teens are in makes everything complicated.
Well, I must say that this movie is really good for people who don't want to claim much from portuguese cinema... not me, as all the time I see this movie I think "we could have been bigger". But hey, I don't want to destroy this one, the movie still has its moments, like the car chase (hey a portuguese action scene), and some lines from the actors. I also admire the fact that it was filmed in the real spot, and many of the actors are real people from the ghetto... but the movie still hits real low levels as a moment of love is cut by the scent of the protagonist's brother's sneakers... Well, good effort, I take my hat, but next time add as much money and refine the script.
