Storyline

Based on the 60's-era cartoon of the same name. Royal Canadian Mountie Dudley Do-right is busy keeping the peace in his small mountain town when his old rival, Snidely Whiplash, comes up with a plot to buy all the property in town, then start a phony gold rush by seeding the river with nuggets. Can this well-meaning (though completely incompetent) Mountie stop Whiplash's evil plan? Written by Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>

Snidely K. 'Whip' Whiplash: But where are the Canadians?

Snidely K. 'Whip' Whiplash: And thank goodness they do. Did you like the way I pronounced "Puerto Rico"?
Lavar: Yeah.
Snidely K. 'Whip' Whiplash: I speak a little Spanish.

Silly can be good, just don't expect every film to be the Godfather
29 October 2003 | by TiminPhoenixSee all my reviews

This was a silly and funny little movie.

Everything from the narrator to the faux Indian tribe was done for laughs and it was clean family worthy viewing.

Alfred Molina makes a perfect Snidely Whiplash and how anyone can watch this film and not notice his timing, his interaction with the other actors and not be impressed is beyond me.

It's not a bad way to kill 77 minutes.
