Love is in the air in the just-released teaser trailer for The Gilded Age Season 3, premiering June 22 (9/8c) on HBO. Well, love and plenty of delicious, petty society drama.

For starters, Marian and Larry are still going strong, following their initial lip lock in the Season 2 finale. The teaser trailer above features lots of stolen glances and clandestine kisses between the two — and even talk of marriage! “Some people want to marry for love,” Marian says. “I know I do.”

Actresses Shannen Doherty and Sarah Michelle Gellar shared April birthdays with Doherty’s on April 12 and Gellar’s on April 14. This year, however, Gellar celebrated without her best friend, Doherty, who passed away in July 2024 at the age of 53.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayerstar posted a tribute to her late friend on her Instagram page on what would have been Doherty’s 54th birthday. Doherty, who had been living with cancer since 2015, died on July 13, 2024.

“For as long as I can remember, we have celebrated our birthdays together @theshando This year I will keep that tradition, and celebrate you. I am so glad we were all together on this day last year, not knowing it would be the last like this. Happy Birthday Shannen,” wrote Gellar on her Instagram as a caption to a photo of the pair as well as a video from last year’s birthday festivities.

Tori Spelling is honoring her late co-star Shannen Doherty on what would’ve been her 54th birthday.

On Saturday (April 12), the 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram story to share a vintage photograph of her and Shannen holding hands and smiling.

“Happy Earth birthday. I miss you Shan. I love you. I hope my power makes you proud,” she wrote on the photo.

“Forever friends,” she also captioned a throwback snapshot of her, Shannen, and Brian Austin Green on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Eric Dane, who portrayed Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy and is currently on HBO’s Euphoria, has announced he has been diagnosed with Als, sometimes known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Speaking with People, Eric Dane said, “I have been diagnosed with Als. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter…I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week. I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

Als (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a neurodegenerative disorder which affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms typically include slurred speech, weakness in joints, difficulty with mobility, and more. According to the Mayo Clinic, Als affects more men than women early on, while it is most common between the ages of 60 and mid-80s.

Motor neuron disease, better known as Als (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), is a devastating and terminal neurodegenerative disorder for which there is no cure. It's taken the lives of many wonderful people, such as David Niven, Sam Shepard, Ronnie Corbett, Aaron Lazar, Roberta Flack, Kenneth Mitchell, Charles Mingus, John Driskell Hopkins, Stephen Hawking, and Lou Gehrig, whose name has become associated with the disorder. It's a terrifying thing to be diagnosed with, with doctors giving most patients a life expectancy of two or three years (although Hawking famously lived for more than 50 years with it). Today, actor Eric Dane announced his Als diagnosis. "I have been diagnosed with Als,” Dane shared with People, adding:

The actor, 52, told People magazine on Thursday, “I have been diagnosed with Als. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”

Als, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a “nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Als causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time,” according to the Mayo Clinic. There is no cure for the disease.

While Dane didn’t share many details surrounding his diagnosis, the actor — who plays Cal Jacobs, the Jacobs family patriarch on Euphoria — also told People he’s returning to set next week to continue filming season three of the hit HBO show.

Christine Elise has shared the screen with Chucky the killer doll several times over the decades, first appearing as the heroine Kyle in Child’s Play 2 back in 1990, then reprising the role for Cult of Chucky (the seventh film in the series) in 2017 and multiple episodes of the Chucky TV show, which ran for three seasons, from 2021 to 2024. As with every year, the Academy Awards’ In Memoriam segment left a lot of notable people out of the tribute. Look, it’s bound to happen – there’s only so much time allotted and by and large the video package has to match with the length of the music. Honestly, this episode of Elsbeth should have been called “The Mama Bear Mittens Are Coming Off.” There was no holding back on this culturally infused installment from everyone’s favorite Chicago attorney.

For one thing, how adorable was Henry, the tour guide? I don’t know who that actor is, but he is popping up more and more in different shows and movies.

However, the award for the most over-the-top acting on Elsbeth goes to Alyssa Milano. Was her character a little too much? Check the fingernails. But what the actor did with the role was epic.

Actress Shannen Doherty, who appeared in numerous films and TV shows like Heathers, Mallrats, Beverly Hills 90201 and Charmed, was notably absent from the Academy Awards’ In Memoriam tribute at the March 2 ceremony. Doherty died in July 2024 at the age of 53. She had been living with breast cancer since 2015.

Per TMZ, Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor on the teen drama 90210 from 1990 to 2000, voiced her opinion on the Oscars’ omission of Doherty from the In Memoriam segment. When asked about Doherty being missing from the tribute, Garth said, “Yeah, that’s messed up.”

When Garth was asked whether the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should issue an apology for excluding Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh on 90210 from 1990 to 1994, she said “Maybe.”

The 2025 Oscars ignited controversy for leaving out actors such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Tony Todd and Olivia Hussey. “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Shannen Doherty was also omitted, which her co-star Jennie Garth called “messed up” when asked by TMZ to give her thoughts on the snub (via People). Garth added that “maybe” the Academy should apologize to Doherty’s family for the exclusion.

Garth and Doherty became teen icons together as stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” They were both series regulars for four seasons. Doherty exited the series before Season 5. Garth continued for all 10 seasons. They later reunited as their characters, Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh, for appearances on The CW’s “90210” reboot.

Meanwhile, the 118 will need to attend a call at an animal shelter. When a fire breaks out, it’s a race to get all the animals to safety.

It's time for Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) to enter the Big Apple's world of organized crime. Elsbeth Season 2 picks up this Thursday with a new episode, titled "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant," which sees the titular defense attorney/investigator touring some of New York's famous crime scenes when one particular mafia slaying at a family eatery piques her interest. At the scene, she meets a fiery former mafia princess played by Charmed's Phoebe Halliwell herself, Alyssa Milano, with suspicions surrounding her that leave Elsbeth wanting to ask more questions. Collider can exclusively share a sneak peek at the episode showing her meeting with the suspect, once again with Detective Buzz Fleming (Daniel Oreskes) by her side as she begins tugging at the threads of this case.

We learned as much earlier this week, but details were scarce, as Sarah Michelle Gellar had stayed quiet about it.

Of course, more details have spilled out since, and we may have gotten ahead of ourselves a bit when we thought the titular slayer would be front and center in the sequel series.

However, reports have since surfaced that while Sarah will be involved in some capacity, she may not be a series regular.

That alone leads us to believe the new series will have a different name. You can’t call it Buffy without the heroine at the show’s heart.

In any case, Sarah wants the world to know that the project is real and that she has many reservations about returning to the franchise.

Actor Ted King is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. Once again, Jack Finnegan will be part of the soap’s ongoing, and upcoming, storylines. In a recent post on social media, King teased that fans can expect trouble to follow.

Hopefully, everyone will forgive me for being so late to the game, but I am finally joining the Fire Country bandwagon, and it is amazing. The series may be in the middle of its third season, but I am playing catch-up.

After only five episodes, it’s very clear why this show is such a hit with fans. The staple of a good series is that it pulls you in right away, and I barely needed five minutes before I was hooked.

The first thing that has to be said is that Fire Country is a many-layered show that explores almost every avenue a procedural can go down.

It also doesn’t hurt that there are some ridiculously handsome men in this series.

I’m pretty sure having at least one hot guy on a show about firemen is mandatory, but I’ll double-check to make sure.

My last article about genre shows got me thinking: what were the best TV shows about witches? I’m not talking about shows containing witches but those where witches are the focus.

After all, witches have always cast a spell on TV fans, bringing magic, mystery, and mayhem to our screens.

Gwen Van Dam, whose 70-year career as a character actress for film, television and the stage included turns in True Confessions, Halloween, Coming Home, Stir Crazy and The Trip to Bountiful, has died. She was 96.

Van Dam, who compiled about 140 acting credits on IMDb, died Dec. 19 at her home in West Los Angeles after a recurrence of cancer, her son, Dirk Smillie, told The Hollywood Reporter.

I can't believe it's been a little over a year since Netflix announced the sad news that Shadow and Bone had been cancelled. The streamer shared the update back in November 2023. Since then, many of us fans have still been thinking about the fantasy series.

Read first joined Days of Our Lives in 2014, playing the drug lord Clyde Weston. The character served as Ben Rogers’ estranged father and Jordan Ridgeway’s stepfather.

Read initially departed the series in 2015. However, Read would still continue to appear as the character throughout the years, effectively becoming recurring starting in 2019.

When popular shows are canceled despite millions of people watching them, that’s a problem.

Blue Bloods is probably the best-known example of this. The series was canceled ahead of its 14th season despite being a top-rated show that often won the hard-to-get-viewers Friday night timeslot.

Charmed is a timeless show about a family of witches with legendary powers. It's also a great time capsule for '90s fashion that captures the idea of "whimsigoth," like long skirts, velvets, lace, and celestial motifs. Charmed went on for many seasons, covering such a long magical family saga that it touches on many classic witchy fantasy tropes.

Episode specials, like the Halloween features, are great to re-watch around October as they capture the essence of fall. Some episodes also pay homage to myths, fairytales, and other popular fantasy series and movies from the '80s and '90s. Other episodes feature great musical artists of the day.
