Goofs

When Kay receives the belongings of her deceased husband Callan, the clothes bag and the leather briefcase are in pristine condition, though they have been in the sea for several days. It is also unlikely, that the gift wrapped jewelry case Jessica found from her father's luggage, could have survived in the sea without any visible damage. See more »

Quotes

Dutch Van Den Broeck: I wondered if you'd come.
Kay Chandler: Guy like you, girl like me. What reason could there be not to? Sorry I'm late.
[beginning to ramble]
Kay Chandler: I had to change a few times and pack. I thought - if I packed light, it'd look like I knew what I was doing. But I didn't know what I was doing, so I didn't know what to pack.

A Mature Movie You Will Love It Or Hate It
2 April 2010 | by amandajc-1See all my reviews

This is one of those movies you either love or hate. Having read some of the reviews posted here its a blatantly obvious fact

Spoilers within

What I liked: Kristin Scott Thomas, I think she did a more than decent job here I felt for her character. This particular actress is brilliant at expressing emotion without the use of script this gift is put to great use in this movie. I think that anyone who didn't appreciate this fact were not watching the same movie i was. The chemistry between the two leads was pretty good.

what i didn't like: The plot was implausible didn't know this was a book before being made into a movie it explains a lot. The script in parts left lots to be desired.

Overall I liked this movie I felt the two leads Ford and Scott Thomas did great work. It is a mature story for mature people I think younger viewers might not get the point. I enjoyed it a lot.
