Storyline

At Barney Sloop's prestigious baseball academy in Amtzenville, the owner is found beaten to death, skull crushed in his Zen garden. His business partner Freddy Fitch inherits the academy. Barney's wife Leslie, which he left a year ago after their 3 year-old son Michael's death, cashes in $20,000,000 life insurance. His paternalistic coaching,domineering pa's and a ball on the head make Jane remember his apprenticeship as dad's 'clairvoyant' carnival boy-wonder.
