Plot Summary

The year is 2040; Bruce Wayne has retired as Batman and Gotham City is without a symbol of hope. However, like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, a new Batman will take Bruce's place: in the form of his newfound errand-boy, Terry McGinnis. The legend lives on. Batman goes beyond the Wayne legacy and into uncharted territory, making new enemies, friends, and reasons for why the world still needs Batman in it. Written by Johnny

Trivia The WB network never allowed Bruce Wayne's age to be revealed in this series because they didn't want him to be old and decrepit. In one episode where Bruce has a birthday, the writers said his age in the initial script but had to take it out because the WB network would not allow it. The producers say Bruce Wayne was about eighty. See more »

Quotes Terry McGinnis: Look, if you had any proof they were going to do something, it would be different. But I'm not going to change my plans because of a hunch.
Bruce Wayne: Batman would.
Terry McGinnis: Hey, I put my life on the line all the time. One night isn't going to make any difference.
